Founded in 1978, the Oregon Gymnastics Academy is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to providing quality gymnastics programs to individuals of all ages and abilities.
We offer the following classes: pre-school and recreational gymnastics, trampoline and tumbling, cheer tumbling, rhythmic gymnastics, special needs gymnastics, and adult drop-in. In addition, we train nationally competitive artistic gymnastics teams, and have recreational gymnastics and cheer exhibition teams.
Throughout the year we provide numerous other activities, including: day camps, field trips, Parents Night Outs, birthday parties, and open gyms.
Classes are open 7 days a week at a variety of times. We offer a free trial class to all new members. Additionally, we have Indoor Park times when interested families can check out our gym and play. Indoor Park is open Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays from 11:30 - 1:00 (ages 6 and under), and Saturdays from 12:00 - 1:30 (up to age 17).
OGA's mission is to promote and motivate character, fitness, and health in the lives of our athletes, employees, and community.

OGA is a great place for budding gymnasts. My only real critique is that they don't have many classes for boys. Coed is not a good option for boys--as it tends to be mostly girls, plus "me" ... not good for a 9 yr. old. They are expanding soon, and hopefully will add more classes for little dudes.

This place is just incredible. Even boys fell right at home and love to go to OGA. The pit full of foam is a quick favorite among the kids. The instructors are great, they are so fun and energetic the kids just love their time with them.

We've hosted and attended many a kid's birthday party here and it's a great place for active, facilitated birthday fun. The jump pit and trampolines are favorites. Party rooms are a little under-decorated, but serve their purpose.

OGA provides gymnastics instruction for kids ranging from preschool to teenagers. They have both a recreational and team program, as well as cheer. Their facility is quite large, but crowding is a problem in the after-school hours, when both teams and rec programs are competing for equipment. This should get better by march of 2009, when they will have their expansion open. Their training facilities are excellent, and for the most part the coaches are very competent and supportive of the kids. They offer 3-4 classes at most rec levels but they can be hard to get into, so kids are sometimes held back at a level waiting for the next class to open up. The team program is very strong, and a couple of the team coaches are truly exceptional. They have an early team track for little kids with lots of potential, that grooms the kids for the team, but kids can also move from rec to team. Oh - and one of their best features is "Parent's night out", where kids can hang out from 6:30pm-10pm on saturday nigiht and get lots of exercise, play games, do crafts, and give their parents a break!

Indoor Park is a great opportunity to get out of the house, play off some energy, and have a great time at OGA.This activity is for children 6 years and under, and parents are required to supervise their children while in the gym. The cost for Indoor Park is $4 for members and $6 for nonmembers.
Have older kids that also want to play? All Ages Indoor Park remains open on Saturdays from 12:00PM – 1:30PM, and the cost is $6 for OGA members and $8 for nonmembers.
