Antique Powerland is a non-profit heritage power equipment museum complex on 62 acres. It is open March-October, Wednesday-Sunday 9:00am-5:00pm. There are 15 individual museums including Truck, Car & Motorcycle, Caterpillar, Fire Service, Steam Sawmill, Blacksmith, Small Engine, Large Engine, Logging, John Deere, Miniature Railroad, Electric Trolley, Brooks Historical Society and a Country Store. The entire facility is operated by volunteers. Powerland's "Great Oregon Steam-Up" is an annual event which many visitors call "the best family event in Oregon." Every year Steam-Up takes place the last weekend in July and the first weekend in August. 2012 dates are July 28-29 & August 4-5. Steam-Up hours are 7:00am-6:00pm. Kids 12 and under are free and so is parking. All equipment operates during Steam-Up and in addition to the museums there are train & trolley rides, a daily parade, live bluegrass music, many exhibits, chainsaw carvers, timber sports, engine and other demonstrations, a swap meet, flea market and lots of great food. Fun for the entire family.
