Portland Children's Museum is a treasure for the city. I began going there when my daughter was a toddler and over 10 years have witnessed the exhibits and programs just getting better and better. We have had fabulous experiences with summer camp, which was super organized, with very high quality materials. I'm so thrilled for you younger parents that there is now food and coffee, which wasn't available years ago.

This place is so much fun for smaller kids...not so much for bigger ones...I would take them to AC Gilbert House or OMSI.
I do have to say though, that ever since I found out about the Cultural Pass at the library, I haven't paid to go to any of these places since...it's a really great way to take a family and not pay an arm and a leg!

The Portland Children's Museum is a wonderful and fun filled place that is the perfect summer outing for young children! Filled with many fun exhibits (such as the dig pit, waterworks, grocery store, and twilight trail) the fun is endless!! The summer camps and arts and crafts projects are also perfect for young children and really do make the Children's Museum a place where imagination lives!

The Portland Children's Museum is a real family favorite. Perfect for the younger kids! Exhibits like the grocery store/cafe, wonder corner and waterworks have always been favorites, and I'm looking forward to the summer programs. The summer workshops, like the theater series in July, sound great!

My son loves going to the Children's Museum. He could spend hours in the dig pit and always makes sure to brush the alligator's teeth on the way out the door. There are so many things to do that he never gets bored. I have been so thankful for a good indoor place to play on rainy days as well as really hot days where air conditioning is a must.

The staff at the museum are always so friendly and it is such a fun place to bring kids! My niece and nephews always ask to come to the Museum whenever they come to visit me. It is a fairly inexpensive way to keep them entertained for hours!

The museum is so much fun! My boys are 4 and 6 and they are always asking if we can go. They love the water room and the digging pit best, but there's so much to explore. Taking MAX adds to the adventure and getting a treat at the cafe is also special. The people are friendly and the place is very clean.

My kids love to go grocery shopping at the CM2. This is a great place for kids age 1-5.

Great place to spend the day with kids. Our favorites have included:
The tractor "dig" pit
The grocery store
The Pirate ship with the ball contraptions
Face Painting
Musical Instruments (some usual, some VERY unique)
The Shadow Room
The Clay room and Garage for older kids
Always lots of new stuff each time we have gone. And if you have little boys who love tains, dont forget to visit Peggy on the way out. (She's parked right outside the World Forestry Center, just a short walk from CM2)
