The Beverly Arts Center is an independent, not-for-profit cultural and educational institution dedicated to enriching lives through the visual and performing arts.

The Beverly Arts Center was founded in 1968 to provide educational and cultural enrichment to Beverly Hills/Morgan Park and surrounding neighborhoods. Now a regional fine arts facility, the BAC welcomes patrons from South and Southwest neighborhoods and suburbs and greater Chicago with a multidisciplinary program of performing arts, independent film series, art exhibits and a non-credit School of the Arts that offers nearly 100 classes in the visual arts, music, theater, movement and dance.

The Beverly Arts Center offers Chicago's only Irish Film Festival in March; stages live music and other performance entertainment; and offers an educational outreach program to area local schools, the Bravo Jr. children theater series, affordable field trip opportunities for school groups.

The BAC is managed by a 14-member Board of Directors and a professional team of full-and part-time staff members, joined throughout the year by more than 45 faculty artists and many volunteers. Support for programming comes from class tuition, ticket sales, contracted services, and charitable donations.

After more than 30 years in existence, the Beverly Arts Center moved into a new home at the corner of 111th Street and Western Avenue in 2002.
