Welcome to Nibbles' Play Cafe where children and their parents come to connect through great play, great food and great conversation.
My name is Kathleen Weinberg. I am the founder of Nibbles' and mother of two. I have been a stay-at-home mom for the last decade. Prior to making the choice to be a stay-at-home mom, I worked in a career that I loved and had developed some wonderful friendships with my co-workers. Making the transition to be a stay-at-home was a little tough. I felt very disconnected and a little lost. So, when my second child got a little older and more independent I started to think about returning to work. Having no idea what I wanted out of my career now, I did know two things for sure. I wanted to work with children as I had done throughout my career and I wanted to create something that could really change people's lives, even if it was only for an afternoon. I kept thinking back to the support group that I had facilitated years prior for moms with disabled children. The women in these groups only wanted a break; time to have a cup of coffee and connect with other moms. I also kept remembering how I wanted to pull my hair out when my children where small for no other reason then I felt terribly isolated. I really needed some adult conversation. I FINALLY GOT IT, I knew what I could do to make a difference.
So began the conception of Nibbles' Play Cafe, a stress-free environment where parents can meet-up with other parents, have a great cup of coffee and a decadent desert while their children have fun discovering great play.
My only wish for the parents of Nibbles' Play Cafe is that they have as much fun visiting Nibbles' as I had creating it.
