IT’S ALL ABOUT THE TOTAL ONCE IN A LIFETIME EXPERINCE! First there is the anticipation—counting down the days—then the ride to the theater, by Max, car, or bike. Entering in the Rotunda you see others like you who will share the experience. You have to sit in the giant chair just one more time and get your picture so you’ll have a souvenir of the day. You go up the stairs and into the most beautiful theater you have ever seen. As you enter the theater you get your own program, remember to keep that for autographs later. If it is your first time you are awestruck. The lights dim and you are all there together to experience something that is performed live just for you. Then the play begins.

I went on a field trip with my daughters 3rd/4th grade class to see Honus and me. I had never read the book nor do I know anything about historical players in baseball. I thought they did a great job with the play and even though the whole setting was around baseball, there were bigger messages to be gained. Life lessons such as: Do the right thing and be ethical, and stay true to what you really want in life.
The play was just over an hour and was perfect in length for kids. The actors did a really good job and it was entertaining for everyone.
If this is the level of plays that OCTC puts on, I would definitely go to all of their productions and take my family.

A revival of OCT’s 2006 hit! If you give a mouse a cookie, he’s going to ask for some milk, and a straw, and so on, and so on. The dynamic duo that charmed audiences the first time is back. The Portland Tribune raved, “OCT’s production is splendid,” Kerry Ryan is “puckish, comically elastic.” Matt Haynes is “especially lovable.”
When a young boy gives a wayward mouse a cookie, he doesn’t know what he’s in for. It’s a whirlwind of a day for the rambunctious mouse and his wary host as demands pile up, and fun ensues. You know the story, don’t miss the play!
